Television Viewing for Babies and Toddlers

With respect to how much TV viewing is recommended for babies and children under the age of 2 years, the American Academy of Pediatrics has issued its answer in essentially one word:  None.  Their research has indicated that there is no benefit, only potential harm, associated with TV viewing at such a young age.  On the other hand, the researchers have wisely recognized that “Zero TV” is not very realistic in today’s world, so they put a cap at “2 hours per week for children up to the age of 2 years.”

Nature Mix Music Video’s combination of classical music and fractals, both of which have been shown to produce postitive effects, has not yet been included in any of the AAP’s studies.
